Welcome to British Blue Cattery. We believe that breeding cats should be a controlled activity ensuring the quality of the cats and the future of their breed as well as the people who purchase them. Our goal is to provide quality British Blue cats with superior temperaments, excellent health, and the right home so that you can build a long-lasting relationship with your new cat.

I was out of state and four hours away from undergoing surgery when my mother called with horrible news. Our beloved Lab of thirteen years, Raphael, was gravely ill and had to be euthanized. There was no time for final goodbyes, last kisses, or long hugs – only my official approval to end his suffering. I tearfully agreed and went into surgery soul sick.

A few months later, my five-year-old son, Anastas, came home with a book about Russian Blue Cats. He asked if we could get one.

…a cat?  The idea never entered my mind. To that moment, I had always been a dog person. My father was even a dog breeder in Southern Ukraine, so I grew up with Russian Terriers, Moscow Shepherds, Collies, and Great Danes.

Initially, we brushed off his request, like most parents that are being asked to do something that they just don’t feel like doing. We’d give a response like, “We’ll see”, “Maybe later”, “Have you cleaned your room?” or “Squirrel!” But Anastas soldiered on, and weeks later brought home another cat book. 

Transport and Delivery

Taking a British Blue kitten  directly to a new location always looked cruel and embarrassing but, it was actually harder for us than a kitten. Through our years of experience delivering kittens to customers, we are aware that all kittens are well cared for. So stop for a moment and think that the airline doesn’t abuse kittens out of fear of legal proceedings and customer dissatisfaction. We stick food and food instructions for the kitten(s) on the box, put frozen water in the box, and thaw it gradually so that the kittens have food. The average flight time is about 2-6 hours. We always ask about delays and transits and know the exact time and departure of the flight so we can also provide information about where the kitten is. However, the health of kittens depends on many factors like genetics, exercise, nutrition, and general routine care, so it’s not always possible to regulate.

We believe British Blue kittens are irreplaceable due to their emotional attachment, but we believe that providing another kitten of an equivalent value can ease the pain of losing a kitten. . If an unexpected casualty occurs within one year of purchase, or if the cat’s health condition (within one year) adversely affects the cat’s health, we’ll exchange another cat like the one you had, hence, free value for you.
